Create a cute and easy cobweb wreath for Halloween!
I used to love decorating for Halloween, but lately, Halloween just doesn’t seem the same. Especially this year.
Now the only reason I look forward to Halloween is that once it’s over, Thanksgiving and Christmas come super fast!
If you know me, then you know I’m all about frugal home decor, and most of it I make myself. Which is why I love Dollar Tree so much!
Today I have a quick and easy Halloween DIY for you and after the tutorial, I’ll show you some of my other Halloween decorations. They’re also super cheap and easy to put together, so keep reading!
Usually, you can buy a bag of spider web with the spider rings already in them. I think I got mine at Walmart, but Dollar Tree has some, too.
Since I already had all of these items on hand, this cobweb wreath Halloween decoration didn’t cost me a thing to make!
First, loosen the screw at the top of the embroidery hoop and take it apart.
Next, lay a small amount of spider web over the inside hoop. Then put the outside hoop back over the inside hoop and tighten them together with the screw.
Trim any excess webbing from the back.
Take a few of the plastic spiders and cut the rings off the back.
This is an optional step, but I chose to cut the rings off to make them look a little more realistic. The spiders still stick to the web so either way is fine.
Now just stick the plastic spiders onto the cobweb wreath at random places.
I only used two spiders for my cobweb wreath, but you can use as many as you want to make it super spooky!
Lastly, add a ribbon and hang!
Here are a few of my cheap and easy Halloween decorations including the cobweb wreath. I don’t have them all out right now because my house is a wreck due to the renovations. So most of them are just confined to one little shelf.
This was such an easy Halloween DIY. All I did was print out a spooky picture that I found online and put it in a frame. The frame came in a set of two that I picked up at a thrift sale a few years ago for only 50 cents.
Altogether this spooky Halloween picture frame cost me just 50 cents to make!
A couple of years ago I picked up this haunted photo from Dollar Tree. I thought it looked so creepy because when you look at it one way it just looks like a regular photo of two young men. However, when you look at it from a different angle, they both have monster faces.
I trimmed around the edges of the photo and placed it in a Dollar Tree picture frame. This creepy little decoration only cost me $2 to put together!
This is my Halloween shelf this year! Not much to it, but at least there are a few decorations up to celebrate the holiday. I’m sure my daughter will have plenty more in her room.
The two tombstones both came from Dollar Tree and so did the tiny skeleton heads. I already had all the decorations and I didn’t buy anything extra this year. However, all the decorations on the shelf cost less than $10!

I hear you about Halloween; especially this year, it just doesn't seem the same. I don't know if trick-or-treating is even going to be allowed in my state. I feel so bad for the kids and the families, because I used to LOVE Halloween as a child.
So far there's still a few events going on but trick-or-treating is "not recommended." It's mostly older people in our neighborhood so I doubt they'll be handing out candy. I feel bad, too, because I always looked forward to getting all that candy as a child!
Same thing here. I think there will be some kids walking around, but we're probably not going to participate this year just to be safe. It still makes me sad though!
So creative!! I love seasonal holiday decor : )
Thank you so much!
Oh I love this, I'm going to show it to my granddaughter and see if she wants to do it with me. Me too Halloween doesn't seem the same, I decided not to give out any candy so my lights will be off, I actually didn't give out candy last year I don't remember why, but this year definitely I'm not.
Happy Halloween Michelle Booooooooooooo
Thank you so much! I hope you and your granddaughter get to make one. It's so easy! :)
I don't blame you for not giving out candy. It's just such a weird year for any holiday this year.
Happy Halloween!!! :D
What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
This looks amazing, and sounds really simple too. I have to admit that I haven't really thought about Halloween too much this year with the way things are, I doubt many people will be doing much. But this still looks incredible and sounds like a great way to decorate a little without taking too much effort x
