This month’s challenge is to share winter decor inspiration on warming up our homes for the winter season. I was going to share just one room, but I have winter decor in the living room, kitchen, and my bedroom. So why not share it all with you?

Winter Decor in the Living Room

I kept the winter decor in the living room simple. I only added a few things to the top of my TV stand. In a tobacco basket I added a few pine cones and sat a candle in the middle of them.

Winter Candle Decor

The WoodWick Fireside candle is one of my favorite scents. They use a natural wood wick in their candles, so it sounds like a crackling fire when it’s lit. The smell of this candle is just amazing, too! Since I don’t have a fireplace in my home, I just light this candle and it makes me feel like I’m sitting by a cozy fire with a warm blanket.

Behind the basket I placed my farmhouse jars that I made for Christmas. They also make great winter decor! Click here to see how I made the farmhouse jars.

I also kept my winter decor scene in a jar out to decorate with as well. I just love the little deer in the snow!

Almost everything in this winter scene came from Dollar Tree, so it was only $2 to put together. (The glass piece is actually reused from a Bath and Body Works candle.) I just put some fake snow in the bottom of the glass container, added the little deer figurine to the top.

You can see how I made the candle holder holding the winter scene here. (It’s another Dollar Tree DIY!)

Winter Decor in the Kitchen

Once again I kept things simple in the kitchen as well. On my table I just have a candle burning, no major centerpiece right now.

However, beside the table I did add a little more winter decor to give my kitchen a cozy feeling.

Kitchen Winter Decor

I kept the little tree I had out for Christmas that I decorated with the primitive ornaments I made. I placed a candle by the tree and that was it! The little wooden chair came from a thrift sale, the cow print I found at Dollar Tree, and the pig head was a Christmas gift years ago.

Winter Decor in the Bedroom

I don’t spend a lot of time in the bedroom, so I kept the winter decor simple in there as well. I think too much makes things look cluttered and when things are cluttered I feel overwhelmed.

The bedroom is supposed to be a calming and relaxing room and I wanted to keep it that way.

 Bedroom

The only winter decor I added in my bedroom was to the top of my dresser.

Winter candles and pine cones

Years ago I found this enamel dish while shopping with my mom at our favorite primitive store. Since I collect enamelware I knew I had to have this piece!

Cozy winter candles

I placed 3 candle holders from Dollar Tree in the dish and added small pine cones around the candle holders. I thought this just gave the dish such a cozy winter feel.

Now let’s see what other great winter decor inspiration the other bloggers have for us today.
