This cute hurricane candle holder was made using only items from Dollar Tree!
If you have been following my blog for a while you’ll know I’m a tad addicted to Dollar Tree. I love buying things from there and putting them together to make them look like decor pieces you would find at a high-end store. My home is decorated with items I’ve made using mostly things from Dollar Tree.
Which is exactly what I did to make this cute little hurricane candle holder.
Not only does this hurricane candle holder go great with fall decor, but you can also make it your own and add any embellishments for any season or holiday.
I’ll show you how to make the hurricane candle holder as well as the grubby candle. It’s all very easy, but the candle takes a little bit of time because of the drying process. Grunging a candle to make it look primitive is also very messy so cover your craft area before you begin.

*Except for the E6000 and spray paint, all of my materials came from Dollar Tree. This project cost me around $5 to make.
There are different ways to do this out there on Pinterest, but this is easiest for me. Plus the cinnamon makes it smell good!
Beware: it gets messy!!
I love the way it turned out!!
I think this hurricane candle holder is so cute for a cheap fall DIY. It doesn’t have to be limited to fall, though. Make it for any time of the year! Best of all it cost under $10 to make and you still have plenty of supplies left over to make a lot more candles.

I've always wanted to make a cake stand using a candle holder and a plate, and using a hurricane really looks great! Love the sunflower too...the E6000 is my go to glue, love the stuff!

It's my favorite glue, too. ? You should make the cake stand. I'm sure it would be beautiful with your painting. ?
Very cool Michelle! Haven’t heard of “grunging up” candles before, wow!
