Chocolate. I just cannot help myself when it comes to chocolate! I think I may have a serious problem. I’m pretty much addicted. But it’s just so good!

And so are these cake mix fudge crinkle cookies!

Have you ever had a chocolate lava cake? Those little chocolate cakes with warm gooey chocolate that ooze out of the middle when you cut into them? Basically Heaven on a plate. Well, these cookies taste almost exactly like a lava cake without the flowing chocolate.

I promise you these cookies are super easy to make. You only need a few ingredients to make these cookies and take under 15 minutes to bake.

Cake Mix Fudge Crinkle Cookies

What you need:

  • 1 box of devil’s food cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Powdered Sugar

What you do:

Step 1

Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheets). In large bowl, stir dry cake mix, oil, eggs and vanilla with spoon until dough forms.

Step 2

Refrigerate dough 15 to 30 minutes, or as needed for easier handling. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar. On an ungreased cookie sheets, place balls about 2 inches apart. (I am absolutely in love with my Rachel Ray nonstick cookie pans. I have had them for years and use them often. They are still nonstick and still look almost new!)

Step 3

Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

There you go! A quick and super easy recipe to cure your chocolate craving!

These cake mix fudge crinkle cookies are to die for!

I usually make these cookies for Christmas every year, but I really need to start making them more often. They have become my favorite cookies!

What is your favorite cookie? Have you ever tried these?

    Steve.

  • Oh Michelle... What are you doing to me? My healthy lifestyle plan is creeping out the window with these badboys! I can't wait to try them! :)

  • Great recipe Michelle. My mother wants to learn to back and guess what this is a good and simple recipe to try. I am going grocery shopping tomorrow and going to get the ingredients.

    • That's great! I think this is a good recipe to start out with because it's easy and not a lot of ingredients. Let me know if she likes them!

  • Ahh.. I recently bought a set of ramekins and made lava cakes, you just reminded me of those! So good... and so bad in terms of trying to eat healthier after the Christmas feasts!

  • Yummmm! I had something like this at church right before Christmas, so I went out and bought the pre packaged mix. We made them and although they were good, they didn't quite have the same texture as the ones made with cake mix and I think that is the ticket to the moist chewy texture. I must try your recipe :) Thanks for sharing, Michelle!

    • I don't like making things from scratch unless they're quick and easy! :) I hope you like these if you try them!! They're very addicting!

  • I love these cookies too! I made a batch to put on my Christmas cookie plates. They are beautiful and delicious...a winning combination...plus they aren't hard to make at all.
